Michael Jan Rathgeber may be best described as a pioneer of
non-Japanese descent in the Montreal sushi scene.
After having perfected technique and understanding under the influence of
a number of top chefs, chef Michael now offers a catering service
whereby all tableware is provided, & shares his 13 years experience,
passion and knowledge in the form of workshops and demonstrations.
He has appeared on numerous television shows and has been written about
in many magazines and newspapers. He also travels extensively to
spear-head the latest trends. His integrity and reputation has allowed
him access to such a discerning clientel for VIP events as Tom Cruise
and Penelope Cruz.
Mr. Rathgeber has also attended the Sushi Academy of California in
Venice Beach, CA. Chef Michael also offers an international consulting
service for any establishment (hotel, restaurant or cruise ship)
wishing to set up a sushi bar and train their staff.
